Example reflection / write-up

Thanks to those who have sent me their blog addresses - these are now available through clicking the links on the right of the page.

One or two participants have asked about the format and style of the reflection/write-up. I've written up my thoughts on the first part of the session on my own blog:

Feel free to have a look, though please don't view it as a 'right answer'; all your own thoughts and reflections are valid for your own pieces.

The Sutton Trust-EEF Teaching and Learning Toolkit is an accessible summary of educational research which provides guidance for teachers and schools on how to use their resources to improve the attainment of disadvantaged pupils. The Toolkit currently covers 34 topics, each summarised in terms of their average impact on attainment, the strength of the evidence supporting them and their cost.

Videos for session 1

Welcome...

... to the BHS Learning and Assessment Hub!

On this page you'll find:

  • Resources, videos and presentations related to the course;
  • Suggested wider reading;
  • Links to other participants' blogs;
  • Guidance on completing your reflective assignment.
For those of you who completed the Developing Leaders course, you'll be used to 'blogging' as a means of sharing your ideas and reflections.

The best way to get to the system is to explore and play around - there's not much you can do that can't be deleted! However, it is important to state that your blogs will be public documents. Therefore, all discussion must be professional and no personal details should ever be uploaded or discussed. We'll be going through this in more detail during the first session.
